New Years Eve Fireworks in London
With Bonfire Night a fading memory there’s one last chance to see a spectacular fireworks display in London on New Years Eve. The skies of the capital will be alive with light and colour on Friday 31st December 2010 with a grand fireworks display at the London Eye, promising something special for New Years Eve and the beginning of 2011.
World class fireworks for a night to remember
With previous New Years Eve fireworks winning awards for their excellence, the 2010 show has a tough record to beat. The area around London Eye and along South Bank will be a vibrant place to see out 2010, with fireworks being launched off the 135 metre high London Eye for an eye popping extravaganza. The iconic landmark celebrated its ten year anniversary in 2010, so is bound to put on an even more spectacular show, and for the first time the 2010 display will be set to music.
Travel around town for free
The crowds will be out in force but getting where you need to go shouldn’t be too much trouble on New Years Eve. Once again there will be free tube travel across New Years Eve and New Years Day.

A huge 700,000 people attended the New Years Eve fireworks this year - that's about a tenth of all Londoners. We hope you all enjoyed it. For 2010, BBC Radio One DJ Nihal will be warming up the crowds ahead of the London Eye fireworks with a live set, but if you feel like watching the display from indoors instead, there are plenty of venues offering spectacular views.
