Renault is marking the 15th anniversary of its first compact MPV model, the Scenic, with a new special edition version called Scenic 15th. Based on the Expression trim level, the Scenic 15th offers a package of additional equipment and discreet styling upgrades for both bodystyles, the 5-seat Scenic and the 7-seat Grand Scenic.

On the outside, the anniversary model features Dark Metal details such as the door handles, exterior mirrors, fog lights trim and rear license plate trim, while on the inside, it sports a specific interior finish with Dark Charcoal “Pleven” leather upholstery, leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear lever knob, plus a panoramic opening sunroof.

The car is available in six metallic and non-metallic body colors (Glacier White, Cassiopée Grey, Platine Grey, Opalin Blue, Etoilé Black and Pearlescent White) and is fitted as standard with 16-inch Surround wheels.

As far as equipment is concerned, Renault offers the Scenic 15th with an electronic parking brake, rear parking sensors and a Carminat TomTom Live navigation system. There are also sunblinds for the second row of seats and a sliding central stowage unit. The Scenic 15th is available with a choice of three diesel engines, with outputs of 95, 110 and 130 horsepower. The latter is the newest Renault engine, delivering 130 horsepower from a 1.6-liter displacement while averaging 4.4 liters/100 km (53.4 mpg).

Since the Scenic's launch in 1996, Renault has sold 1.4 million units of the popular compact MPV. The special edition Scenic 15th can be ordered right now, with prices starting from €25,550 ($36,200) in France.
